How to review and approve a RAMS job in Intuety
This guide explains how approvers can find RAMS jobs that need review and move them through the approval process.
Who can use this
- Approvers (or reviewers)
Before you start, make sure the following applies:
Make sure you have:
- Approver permissions
- Access to the project containing the job
- A job that is ready for review or awaiting review
Find jobs waiting for review
Open your Dashboard:- Check Pending Reviews – Awaiting Your Review, if shown within the stages bar.
- Check widgets such as Returned Reviews, RAMS ready for submission, or Nudge Reviewers.
- You can also go to Projects, open the relevant project, and review the Jobs list.
Open the job
- On the Jobs page, find the relevant job.
- Check the status pipeline.
- Open the job from the relevant status action or row control.
Review the RAMS
- Read the RAMS content and any Intuety suggestions.
- Check whether the risks and control measures are suitable.
- Provide any comments or supporting context if available.
- Review the Method Statement.
- Check associated attachments and surfaced documentation.
Approve or return the job
You can then select 'Review' from the + actions button in the bottom right hand corner. This will load the review form to be completed for your review. Choose to approve or return the RAMS to the author. An approved RAMS should move to Approved in the job stage pipeline. A returned RAMS should appear as returned and should be visible to the author or relevant project users for action.
Limitations and things to be aware of- I cannot see pending reviews: Check that you have the Approver role and access to the project.
- The RAMS is not ready for review: It may still be Processing or Results Ready and not yet sent for approval.
- A reviewer has not acted: Use the Nudge Reviewers widget or contact the reviewer directly.
- I cannot see review or do a review: It is likely you have not been selected as a reviewer on the job, ensure the author or another reviewer adds you as an additional reviewer.
