Managing Notifications and Alerts
Overview
The notification system keeps you up to date with activity relevant to you in Intuety. This includes updates on jobs and risk assessments, comments, broadcasts from your company, and announcements from Intuety such as new features and updates.
Who can use this
The notification system is available to all Intuety users. The notifications you receive will depend on your role, the jobs and risk assessments you are involved in, and any broadcasts sent to you by your company or by Intuety.
Opening the notification panel
- Select the bell icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
- The notification panel will open and display your notifications.
- If you have any unread notifications, a number will appear next to the bell icon indicating how many are unread.
- To close the panel, select the bell icon again.
Notification types
Notifications are colour-coded and grouped by type so you can quickly identify what they relate to:
- Info — general updates and information.
- Success — confirmations that an action has been completed.
- Warning — items that need your attention.
What notifications you might receive
Notifications can come from several sources:
- Job or risk assessment updates, such as:
- A job or risk assessment is ready to be reviewed.
- A job or risk assessment has been sent back to you.
- A new comment has been added.
- Company broadcasts sent by your own company, such as a lesson learned or a safety alert.
- Support notifications sent by the Intuety support team.
- Intuety broadcasts, such as announcements about new features or platform updates.
Notifications may also include attached documents, images, or links for you to view or download.
Managing your notifications
- Use the Unread tab to view only notifications you haven't read yet.
- Use the All tab to view every notification, including those already read.
- Select the tick icon on a notification to mark it as read.
- Select the trash icon on a notification to delete it.
- Select Mark all as read to mark every notification in the list as read in one action.
Tips and good practice
- Check your notifications regularly so you don't miss reviews, comments, or safety-related broadcasts.
- Use the Unread tab as a quick to-do list of items that still need your attention.
- Open any attached documents, images, or links directly from the notification to save time navigating elsewhere in the platform.
Limitations and things to be aware of
- Deleting a notification removes it from your list and cannot be undone.
- Notifications reflect activity at the time they were sent — always open the related job, risk assessment, or document for the most current information.
