Cannot Download File or Amended RAMS Document?
Having trouble downloading the Amended Risk Assessment? If you're clicking the "Amended Risk Assessment" download button and nothing is happening, the most common reason is that the uploaded file is in PDF format, you may also be seeing a red box saying "Download failed"
What You Need to Know
For Intuety to automatically add the inserted suggestions to your document, the file must be uploaded as a Word document (.doc or .docx) — not a PDF.
Here’s why:
-
PDFs are not editable by default. This prevents Intuety from being able to add your recommendations directly into the RAMS.
-
Word documents allow the system to process your content, apply changes, and enhance the assessment.
What You Should Do
If your file is currently a PDF, follow these steps:
-
Return to the original Word version (if you have it) and upload that instead.
-
If you only have a PDF, convert it to a Word document using any PDF-to-Word converter.
-
Upload the Word version to the platform either next time, as a new job or a revision.
-
The "Amended Risk Assessment" button should now function as expected.
- If you don't want to delete the task you can make a revision and add the word document.
Tip
To avoid this issue in future, always upload your RAMS in Word format. This ensures you get the full benefits of Intuety’s smart amendment tools.
