Adding, editing, and managing users

This guide explains how company administrators can add users to Intuety and assign the correct roles.

 Overview

The Users area in Intuety lets administrators add new users, assign roles, and manage existing accounts — including editing user details, deactivating users, and re-enabling accounts.

Who can use this
  • Client Admins
  • Company administrators
  • Project administrators with user-management access
Before you start
  • Make sure you have permission to manage users.
  • Have the user's email address ready.
  • Decide which role or roles the user needs: Approver, Author, or Project Admin.
Opening the Users area
  1. Sign in to Intuety.
  2. Open the menu on the left-hand panel.
  3. Under the Administration section, select Users.
  4. Use the search field or role filter to check whether the user already exists.
Adding a user
  1. Select + Add User.
  2. Enter the user's email address.
  3. Tick the required role or roles.
  4. Set Account Status to Enabled.
  5. Select ADD.
Checking the user was added
  1. Return to the Users list.
  2. Search for the user's name or email address.
  3. Check the role and status shown in the table.
Editing or viewing existing users
  1. Open the menu on the left-hand panel.
  2. Under the Administration section, select Users.
  3. Search for the user by name or email, or use the role filter to narrow the list.
  4. To deactivate a user, select the red icon with an X.
  5. To view or edit a user's details, select the green icon to open the User panel.
  6. In the User panel you can update the first name, last name, email, roles, and whether the account is enabled.
  7. You can also re-enable deactivated accounts from the User panel.
  8. When you have finished, select Update to save your changes, or Cancel to discard them.
Limitations and things to be aware of
  • The user cannot see a project: confirm the user has both the correct role and project access.
  • Client Admin is not shown in Add User: this role may need to be assigned outside the standard Add User modal.
  • The account should not be active yet: add the user as Disabled, then enable them when ready.
